i disagree with the comment above. the actors represent a lifeless society. the quick cuts create the tension of a society aching to break out of their mundane existence. the editing in essence becomes the emotion of the piece.

The song is an emotional one, and I think the video completely diluted it. I didn't see any emotion or real conflict in the video at all.
In your description you talk about breaking free from monotony and dullness...
I think instead of trying to quick cut a bunch of mundane shots, it would've been cool to see some sort of action in the piece. :)
