Our clients include large brands, media & creative agencies, media companies and record labels, who tap into our community for creative ideas and video content for any vertical, and use our software platform to manage the end-to-end production process.

Genero's head office is in Melbourne, Australia, with growing teams based in London and Singapore, followed by other regions globally in 2017.


The Role

  • You will work closely with the joint-CEOs and Founders in Melbourne to help grow our client base, by raising awareness with decision makers within our targeted clients, effectively position the Genero brand, drive leads to the Genero platform and to our sales team and ultimately help to grow revenue globally.

  • You will help shape our global marketing strategy, formulate the marketing plan and execute the key pillars of our strategy, across digital marketing, content marketing, PR and trade events.

  • 7+ years marketing experience, with demonstrated expertise in digital marketing.

  • Ideally you will have both agency and client-side marketing experience.

  • An excellent understanding of content marketing and the broader marketing and advertising industry so you can effectively position the Genero brand and offering.

  • You will need to be strategic but hands on, with responsibility for planning and implementing the marketing plan in all regions.

  • Ability to execute and manage successful online advertising campaigns using platforms like Facebook, Google, LinkedIn, etc.

  • Experienced in PR, you will manage our PR agencies to achieve a strong presence in trade press in our key markets.

  • You’ll be responsible for sourcing and writing client focused content for our various communications.

  • Ability to promote Genero internationally, with a particular emphasis on our key markets - UK, Asia, US and Australia.

  • Identify key industry events and ensure Genero has a presence.

  • Working in a dynamic and innovative environment, you will need to be entrepreneurial and strategic, be self-motivated and have the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.

Highly regarded

  • An understanding of film and video production will be highly regarded, as you will also help with growing our global filmmaking community.

  • Solid understanding of marketing automation tools and processes, to ensure effective measurement and analysis of campaign performance.

  • Sufficient understanding of SEO to lead the program internally or with third parties.

The Role

  • Based in Sydney, you will work closely with the Melbourne-based CEOs, but with autonomy to grow our Australian and New Zealand business.

  • The focus of your role will be on driving short-term revenue via new video briefs, supporting and growing business from clients who license the Genero platform and putting in place new longer term partnerships with brands, media companies and creative/media agencies.

  • 8+ years relevant experience in the marketing/advertising industry and a demonstrated track record in building and managing relationships to drive revenue via new and existing clients.

  • You must have a strong network of senior decision makers within agencies, media companies and brands, to quickly get in front of a broad range of potential clients and start driving new business.

  • You will need to be able to pitch to clients to successfully position the Genero offering as a video production solution, quickly close new business and build long-standing relationships to retain clients.

  • You will ideally be a spokesperson for the Genero brand, both in the Australian press and via public speaking engagements at advertising industry events.

  • You will have expertise in digital, content marketing and experience in TV and video production.

  • You will need to be strategic and entrepreneurial to both position Genero with clients and play a key role in the future direction of our business.

  • Have the ability to negotiate commercial partnerships and build long standing relationships.

  • You will be self-motivated and passionate about playing a key role in growing an early stage business and thrive in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
