MOBY - WAIT FOR ME

  • jrs7431 Great cinematography and use of light. The nature shots show amazing purity and beauty, set in contrast to the dark, trapped world of the interior shots. The transitions between the two worlds is beautifully and dramatically executed. Amazing visual storytelling. Well done.

  • nsphilip At first he passionate colors in the overworld and darkness in the world of he who waits belie the purity and innocence represented by a white flower to the extent his love lasts long enough to sustain his patience. However, I find the red also demonizes the woman and with her smile and flight give away a sense she has no intention of returning. Quite a mix of good and evil, to be sure! Nice paradox.

  • AsstantToStuntDog Thanks to all the artists out there sharing their time and talents with us. I love when the artists work tells the story from their own experience and perspective and leaves room for me to experience it through both of my own. Great work.

Description:

There is deep melancholy in the roots of this song to be sure. But so too, it seems, is there a peek at something bright between the petals above. Into the basement dwelling of emotional isolation comes a ray of light – and a recurrent gift – almost mythical in its beauty.

The last part of Goethe’s The Holy Longing brought it home…
"and finally, insane for the light,
you are the butterfly and you are gone.

And so long as you haven't experienced
this: to die and so to grow,
you are only a troubled guest on the dark earth."

- Thank you to Moby for the inspiration – and Genero.tv for the opportunity.
