  • iNTERTEXT firstly for what its worth - it made me smile, and I think it is well made Nimshap, all of you.

of course the creative ego wants a video about itself- more of a statement about celebrity culture / real-life hero worship (with as Lubliland says that real life "homemade feel" which has such cultural currency at the moment) than an original work of art, in my opinion.

maybe making an original work of art was not in the brief.

my step for dummys to Moby - back slapping is boring - creativity is what you have not yet done.

but thats just my opinion i may be wrong.

  • TheDecider Congratulations on winning, but your video is crap. And if Moby chose this as the winning video, it indicates Moby is crap. There were far more talented, creative, humorous, and original artists submitted. Clearly Moby just likes seeing his name on turtles and other random sh*t. Soooo disappointing.

    • benny totally agree

  • Sheyne Benoit A well produced video and I do not doubt the talent behind it however it was not the truest of the submissions. This brings me to respect Moby a little less as this choice comes across as self indulgent and it simply wastes an opportunity to feature a heart felt and beautiful video that would compliment the song. Regardless, congratulations to all involved!

  • bacardi I guess there are some filmmakers who didnt listen to the song at all. Or they didn't even look at the music video that Moby's friend, Jessica Dimmock, made. That video did fit the song pretty well and it wasn't depressing at all. It felt real. This music video is a funny idea but not well developed. I dont think the filmmaker "listened" to the song at all.
    2 years ago - comment
    • bacardi This video is way off too... Well, if Moby selects this video is because he is a narcissistic.

    • Mireus In my opinion this video is making fun of the song and this isn't hard to notice; it's very funny all the way. Don't get me wrong, it's a cool video but it's not appropriate. When I first saw it I hit pause after 36 seconds cause I thought my music player was running somehow Moby. The girl in space suite does turn her head to the camera when the sky is blue, right after 35 seconds, and the grass is very green after 1 minute. It looks like nobody can run away from cliches in this competition, not even the Moby turtle that I saw in this video. Anyway, the viewers seem to like it cause they don't see the difference between audio and visual, they are simply blown away by the visual. The video has to represent and improve the audio not to be totally something else. Some achieve this by using cliches and the best achieve this by using symbols and metaphors, but the feeling of the song has to remain untouched, otherwise it's lost or misinterpreted.
