  • Zaf For my personal taste this amazing project would have been the winner! It was the most original piece of art i saw here, and already when i was editing my own wait for me video, i saw this and it almost discouraged me to continue, i was so blown away! Love the ending which is very difficult to achieve, and the way you distorted the images in that hallway... Anyway congrats keep up the good work man (your robotpolish series looks great too) take care

  • eyemyth Congratulations! This is a beautiful video and the ending was a bit unexpected - softening life's edges. Having recently watch a documentary called "The Bridge" this was especially poignant.

I got this deadline confused with another project and did not get a video submitted. As much as I would have liked to place one the work of this and so many others would have knocked me out of the running.

  • anthonyh All my friends and I, to say the least, are shocked we've made it this far. I thought we never had a chance after watching some of the astounding entries. To have been chosen still puzzles me, but I can say we are all extremely flattered. The original goal was to try to win some funds for a new computer. Whatever the outcome though, it was great to be a part of this with all of you. "But tell me a story, and I will remember forever." –author forgotten

  • baudrillardo Totally powerful!
One of the best (if not the best one) in the competition. I hope you don't run into trouble for the Adidas thingy (I blurred noticeable brands in my video just incase…!)
Wonderful premise and the look of it is just gorgeous!
    Good luck Anthonyh!

I hope you like mine as well, it's the story of a little elephant searching for his chicken friend on the streets of Barcelona and Madrid: http://genero.tv/watch-video/6242/

    PS:You got my vote!

  • 33monster Reminds me of myself..

The whole adidas, over weight, trying to be a hero, touching things that are better off untouched, a kind person but hurtful at the same time.. The daily struggle from sun up to sun down. Go to sleep an start all over again!

The speed of the photos was a bit faster then the music you used.. so it was a little hard to keep up.. but overall at the end understood the message

Message whereby one is able to think about it and use
concepts to deal adequately. Its very interesting, humorous, cleaver...

Anthony send me a check for the inspiration.. Lol

  • alex whyte I agree completely with DavidCharles comment...the composition of the photos are really well thought out for the stop motion techniquethough...this could be good for an anti-smoking/drinking campaign

    • anthonyh Thanks for your time. I'm all for drinking and smoking though. In moderation, they are both full of leisure. So I could never support a campaign regarding either. Choosing to either use, or to abuse, now that I can relate to.

And it's pretty literal in terms of lyrical relation. It's in our (his) heads we hear, but not thru the eyes that we see. Did Skywalker ask his father to remove his helmet when the ultimate truth was revealed?

He cried, "NOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Because in his head/heart, he knew.

EMPIRE STRIKES BACK was the BEST!

  • DavidCharles The concept suits YOUR description, but to me it doesn't really fit the lyrics of Wait for me, I think... It's cool though, that you used stop motion, looks good.

    • anthonyh Thx! It was inspired by the actual letter from prison featured in the beginning. In it was words that expressed remorse for wrong choices made. But, it was the last paragraph that was poignant. That his salvation was his pride in his friends who did well and never strayed. That he still had them. He wanted them to "wait" for him so that he could make us proud when he would be free again.

Song: Wait For Me

Description:

If I say too much, let me be christened an idiot...

Everyday we wake with "choice". It's what it means to be alive.

To love or to hate.
To eat or to starve.
To see or to abhor...

It is how the world moves. Not by actions, but by the choices we make to create them.

Credits:

All my dear friends who gave up their Sunday to choose to do something different. To them my love for letting me play dinh for a day to our ka-tet. Besides, there's nothing special on weekend television anymore since they ended Gilligan's Island reruns...
