  • SachaMartins One might say : "You will always regurgitate what you have previously eaten..."

But, to speak thruly, to have eaten the finest strogonoff beaf or some pieces of MacDonalds junk food, is of no importance here : once brought on the sidewalk, it's always the same warm pinkish pond of vomit...

If there is any "concept" behind this, I have to admit I'm not clever enough to find it out...

Put in a shaker a Zabrisky Point desert, a zombi-girl barely looking like a Robert-Smithian bat [think about Brancaleone] and a lynchian paunchy halflings, shake it hard, et voilà...

Unfortunately, the same comment could apply to many many movies here...

    • Djak Azran true, including yours... : )

it does require intelligence to understand the concept behind my film... I am glad I didn't have to point that out for you.... At least you're not in denial about that : )

I'm not even going to comment on your poor usage of the English language (carefully disguised with big words that you probably had google translate for you)...or all the misspelling of all your other words that you assumed didn't need to be translated by or spell checked by google for you...

I will merely comment on the fact that after seeing your movie, and reading all the other comments you have made throughout the site, you obviously need to get laid (and quick). All that pent up sexual frustration has rendered you bitter, jealous, insecure and then some...
After all, why a 7 minutes movie if you weren't trying to compensate for something ?

However I wish you the best of luck and I will see you in the finals.... : )

    • SachaMartins Djak... First, I want to apologize for all the flaws of my inaccurate english. I'm basically a french writer and the problem is precisely that I'm not using google to write but a college knowledge that is quite old now [I’m probably one the oldest pretended-directors of that contest]... As I fight hard everyday with my french colleagues to educate them in order to save my unarmed language from a total disaster, I completely understand your concern about the way I may injure/wound/offend your own language.

Let’s face it : I'm only writing comments when I DO think that a director deserves the time I'm spending with him [well, generally]. I even gave to some of your colleagues advice related to usually-unknown directors like Guy Debord, Michael Snow, Maurice Lemaître, thinking to share ideas with interesting people… I still think your cinema needs to grow up and that you have to find YOUR own grammar. I still think your movie is based on a collage of ideas that are not completely yours for now… It does not mean your movie is of no interest ; the way you succeed on catching light and colors deserves more than an “esthétisant” mimicry… But it does mean that you should get rid of your idols and start bringing your guts out [if this ad-lib expression makes any sens in English].

Regarding to my movie, it’s based on a simple idea : the director doesn’t like music video [in fact, he usually doesn’t like short stuff – Sigmund would have loved this one], the director had no time and no device to shoot this music movie, so he refuses the challenge [because he is a professional cheater – another cookie for Sigmund followers] and decides to make something else – but still illegitimately using Lynch’s song, mixing Christian imagery into some ignominious porn movies [not decided on the basis of a provocative purpose – porn and famous paintings are the easiest things to grap over the net]. On the purpose and on the result [aesthetically speaking, my way of working finally thrives from “Le nouveau roman” and the OULIPO], I think I only own a very little to my “idols” [except to an unknown French director you’re very unlikely to know : Jean-Christophe Sanchez]… But if I’m wrong, feel free to educate me.

I’m surely bitter [I’m a writer in a non-reading world – could you imagine a worst situation?] but as my works look like no others, I really can’t see why I would be jealous ?

Thanks for feeling so concern with my glandular sub-system. You’re right : I’d loved to be laid and quick at the same time [Californication?] !

As a non-practising democrat, I don’t approve your vote. Thanks anyway.

You probably don’t need this but : I hope you’ll keep on shooting movies and that one day, a copy of your further works will be among my favourites on my desert island.

    • SachaMartins An anecdote for you Albenson :

A French friend of mine spent one year studying in NYC college [probably Columbia, I honestly don't remember] late in the 90's. When she told her American room-mate she is was living in Paris, this well-educated girl who was supposed to be graduated in a couple of months from on the most prestigious university of the country, seriously asked her if she was going to rent a car to get back to Paris for the Week-end. My friend then had to explain to this charming girl that between France and the USA, there was a little pond called the Atlantic Ocean…

      “Fancy Frog”, you said?
