I was born in Istanbul in 1975. After my education on Graphic Design and Visual Communications, I started working from my home office as a freelance graphic designer in 1999. The first time I met video was in the year 2000, after installing assembly line schedule to my computer. At first it was all about short video loops of my creation, then I added some music and that's how my VJing carrier started. During those days, no one else was VJing in Turkey so I had the chance to stand out in most of the festivals, clubs and special night events. Instead of software, I used analog video mixers for my live visual performances. It ended up with generating my own style. So I had the chance to work with; The Chemical Brothers, Sasha, Sister Bliss, Radioslave, Fluke, Carl Cox, Steve Lawler, Bony M, Nick Warren and many more... In the year 2003, I directed a video for an electronic music band called Calaquendi. The feedback from this video was so much more than I had ever expected that I continued shooting music videos. After working with several artists around the world, in 2007, a mash-up video of Sezen Aksu & Prodigy by me was awarded “The Trend Video of the Year” by MTV Turkey. In 2008, my first important achievement took place in an exhibition called “Deference to the Difference” at Taksim Metro Station, known as the most crowded metro station in Istanbul. I’ve been making live visuals for an ethnic electronic music band named “Istanbul Calling” as a permanent member.
