MOC Ce que j'aime beaucoup dans ton clip Sacha, c'est qu'il possède deux grandes qualités: d'abord, il est visuellement très original, et généreux. et la seconde, c'est qu'il est irrévérencieux, voire iconoclaste, tout évitant le vulgaire. Et pour ça, chapeau! :)

MOC Merci tout plein pour ta fine analyse Sacha... ça me fait d'autant plus plaisir que j'ai déjà lu quelques uns de tes commentaires ici et que je les trouvais tout à fait pertinents et... lumineux aussi. :) Bah, un bon scanner, ça ne coûte plus tant. Mais pour avoir terminé mon film chez un pote, qui avait un de ces scanner/imprimante/photocopieuse, j'ai vu la différence: le siens était très peu lumineux et du coup je perdais en résolution et surtout en profondeur de champ. Bon, on va pas parler technique scanner trois heures, mais c'est marrant. Alors, on l'ouvre quand, notre ScannerClub? :D

SachaMartins Non seulement l'idée d'utiliser un scanner comme source de capture est lumineuse [sic], mais le résultat, au delà de l'étonnement produit par l'aspect cosmétique, est vraiment splendide... MOC Ecoute, Olivier, ça me va droit au coeur. Parce que en effet, j'ai l'impression qu'on partage ça: aucun compromis. Créer, expérimenter... sans utiliser les raccourcis de la facilité ou des effets (de mode bien souvent). Donc en effet, exit les pu**** de ralentis, les jeux de mise au point avec des objos à 1000$, les bimbos hallucinées ou les ex stars de cabaret mal maquillées. Mais bon, l'animation, même si tu penses tout pouvoir maitriser, demande quand même énormément +de temps et de patience. Ici j'ai manqué de temps... mais je garde l'idée aussi. Si tu veux, on se fait un court entièrement en scans? :) chiche.

MOC Tellement plus libre et décomplexé que la plupart des autres clips du concours Lynch! J'aime l'idée de s'approcher autant des objets ambigus (une poupée, une peluche, c'est ambigu, c'est sensé représenter le vivant sans l'être) et d'avoir l'impression de rentrer dans une autre logique. ça fait très cérémonial. Miam! :)

2volivier Vraiment terrible ,c'est l'un des rares clips que je trouve créatif,l'un des seul à faire une réelle proposition artistique qui sort des sentiers battus voir a contre courant (pas d'utilisation du dernier CANON à 5000 dollars,pas de slow motion,pas de fille qui se maquille maladroitement...) et l'idée d'utiliser seulement un scanner c'est osé mais vraiment excellent à mon goût bien entendu (je suis pas critique de film et pour ce que compte mon avis...). Mon scanner est cassé,c'est dommage j'ai bien envie d'essayer ce support pour une prochaine création.

MOC And while i was having an headache by the light of my scanner on my face, trying to re-animate life to create something as "original" as i could make by the inspiration of Lynch's universe... that kind of movie was "voted" 933 times. :) Sometimes, i think it's good to remember life is that ironic ... specially when banality is running in the woods.

MOC Nothing to add, except Genero.tv and that Lynch contest gave me the opportunity to challenge myself and create a piece of crazy animation in less than 4 days. Maybe if the contest was longer, and less popular, with not such a person like David himself, i wouldn't have found the will and desire to go back to animation like that. I decided to use a very strange technic (do all the stuff on a scanner) and, even if i know it looks unfinished and not 'clean' because of that, i feel a bit like Lynch doing Eraserhead with no pennies but lots of crazy dreams. Yes, the vote system is odd and totally illogic, like on oldschool contests, begining on the first upload, without waiting for the last one. Yes, most of the "I Know" videoclips are more like dull 'copycats' of Lynch's touch... much more than on 'Good Day Today', with very great and fresh ideas, and yes, it's a bit shameful to be obliged to pay that song to create a musicvideo about it. But there's no need to mumble about all of that. I'm happy to know i'm able to create something new and original with the inspiration of another artist in so little time, and to see so many people able to do the same.
