Jason Zavaleta is an independent filmmaker from the San Francisco Bay Area, since the age of 8, Jason has been making movies. At 15 his short film "Recycle for the World" was shown to the United Nations. Since then, he was the first student nationally to film a educational video on the consequences of drinking and driving for the Every 15 Minutes Program. A Regional Director and Media Director with Students for Barack Obama and Project Yes We Can, Jason utilizes his film passion for activism as well as art and entertainment. Jason recently finished a promotional video for Grammy Award-Winning Violinist, Mads Tolling, and a documentary on Lafora Disease. He currently attends San Francisco State as a Cinema major and is working on The New Jewish Filmmaking Project, produced by Steven Spielberg and the San Francisco Jewish International Film Festival.
