Rohan Sabharwal is a multi award-winning/nominated independent director based in Mumbai. He has worked on over fifty short films and television commercials. He is a graduate of the prestigious London Film School. He has been mentored by award winning director Mike Leigh (Vera Drake, Naked, Secrets and Lies) and documentary filmmaker Kevin Hull and has also participated in workshops and masterclasses with acclaimed filmmakers including Abbas Kiarostami(Taste of Cherry), Gurinder Chaddha (Bend It Like Beckham), Nick Broomfield (Kurt and Courtney, Biggie and Tupac), Tarsem Singh (The Cell, The Fall), Hollywood cinematographer Tak Fujimoto (Sixth Sense, The Village) and Editor Piertro Scalia (Gladiator). Rohan is well known in the short film arena both in India and the UK with his films having been screened at the Institute of Contemporary Arts, London, The Regency Fairfax Cinema, Hollywood, The Kalaghoda Arts Festival, Mumbai and quite regularly at the Shamiana Short Film Club in Mumbai. Apart from being selected at the Festival de Cannes Short Film Corner this year, he has been nominated at the British Film festival, LA and the New York International independent film and Video Festival. His current feature documentary, which talks about domestic workers in India, has been picked up for distribution by Journeyman Pictures, Europe’s largest distributor for factual entertainment. He is currently the CEO of Tenten Films, Mumbai.
