Read the Q&A with robandrob What was it about Genero.tv that made you want to enter? Has it had an impact on your exposure or career?

It was the Alex Clare competition - that track is unlike anything else we have come across, so we decided to go for it. It's helped expose us to some cool blogs. We can never tell if we are actually good, but lots of blogs seem to dig the work. It's a confidence boost.

How would you describe your film making style?

I can't say we really have a style, we just make stuff we think our mates would like. That approach seems to work well for us. When we aim to impress our mates everyone else seems to like it too, including the artist.

What sort of work have you done in the music video space before?

Well, a long time ago when the internet was in black and white, separately, we made a couple of videos that were in the charts on MTV and NMEtv, which was a big deal for us at the time, but now its pretty plain to see that music videos no longer have a place on television. The market has changed pretty drastically in the last couple of years and so the approach to promoting artists is completely different too, its pretty exciting.

Where are you hoping to head in the future?

We're not really sure about that. We will continue to make videos, but we don't want to just make music videos, I like the idea of taking parts of a song to promote a band or snippets from several songs, I'm really into the idea of branding music with more than just music videos, I like the idea of promoting an artist through web sites, iPad apps and even putting on events and exhibitions. I loved that Saam Farahmand thing he done for that XX album, like using sculpture', projections, light shows, The medium needs to be more interactive, I think that's what where we are heading.
