WROE Y JACQUES man if i felt your video was amazing, i'd be one of the first to give praise. I love Genero in that it inspires us all to do our best and create. As beauty should never be compared, perhaps art should never be compared either. However, here it is and they give you money for it, so sue me for speaking my mind ;-) www.joshwroe.com

Genero Hi Filipe. As Josh mentioned the winner is chosen by the artist and label. With The Temper Trap that wasn't the case at all. We ran the competition for Love Lost and the video was chosen and used. The band then signed to a US record label who decided they wanted to make another bigger budget video for Love Lost before it was released as the US single.

Filipe Pita Josh, by the way, the same happened with the winner of "The Temper Trap - Love Lost". They had a official video too during the contest .that's why I question the credibility of who launches the contest.

WROE Y JACQUES Well Genero does not get to vote, the label does. The real mess-up for me is that they already had a video made....just think...would this have won if they didn't have a video already? did they want a video that wouldn't outshine theirs? I really want to know their reasoning behind this.

Filipe Pita with all due respect to the winner, I'm seriously thinking if I will compete again. the credibility of genero.tv fell to the bottom with this vote. anyway congrats to the winner.

WROE Y JACQUES dude, the band didn't have a definite message/concept otherwise they would have made it themselves....oh wait they did already.... them playing in the location of their old start-up gigs. I'm not really bothered about a level of professionalism. I think concept comes over quality. anybody else know WHY?

Maestro Not my favourite video for this song but I still enjoyed it!

Apples Congrats to winner and finalists. And answer for the question is: The band already has official video of this song (http://www.monatheband.com/video.php). And it had an influence on their choice. They were looking no other videoclip for their song, but something different from the official video. Filmakers who tried to make a classic videoclip, had bad luck. I thing: Therefore this contest wasn´t too fair.

Crimsoneye I assume the band had a very definite idea in mind of the message/concept they wanted. I can't criticise this video, it's pretty clever, and I congratulate them! But I do agree there were some other videos I would have expected to win based on 'professionalism' of production. Then again the choice always falls on the band/label, and often there have been some pretty interesting wildcards ;)
