Genero is a platform for creative people to make official music videos, get global exposure and grow their career. So far we have paid out over $150,000 in cash prizes to filmmakers around the world!
What type of exposure will I get? Plenty! We understand the challenge in getting noticed, so we do everything we can to get your name and work in front of the right people.
I've been a singer for a long time, but i love cinematography too. Now i'm performing spot tv in italy and i won unicredit bank contest. I'd like to do what i do.. Spot and videoclip.. But i would like to do something more for cash not only contest. In fact now i'm working on an italian group's videoclip, that seems to be very interesting..As soon as i'll do, i'll post on my vimeo channel.
Read Mhimhi's Q&A and full profile, and check out their site. What was it about Genero.tv that made you want to enter? Has it had an impact on your exposure or career? The freedom to use creativity, the chance to improve my skills, and also to get noticed. Yes, i've actually got some paid work after people saw my Genero videos. I haven't made them yet but a record label have asked me to shoot 3 of their videos after they saw my Endless Road video for The Panics on Genero!
How would you describe your film making style?Narrative, rythmic, i like to tell stories and sometimes i like to make something abstract. But most of all i like communicate feelings or share human situations, in every way possible..even shouting from on top of a rock!!!
What sort of work have you done in the music video space before?I've only made 1 video for an independent label, "fish and chips" titled "the sun always shine on tv": http://vimeo.com/8941271. But i want to improve my production and that's why i decided to participate in the contests on Genero.tv, hoping to get noticed and get involved in some exciting stuff..
Where are you hoping to head in the future?I don't care about money, but i need it...i want to upgrade my gear, like a better camera, cranes, monitor, flycams, drone cam, developing 3d features, and be able to pay people and get a lot of professional people working with me! I'd like to shoot a feature film too. The road is narrow and long but i won't give up!
