Hi Adrienne - the band/artist always has access to all of the videos, and the winning video is always selected by the band or artist. It's their song, their decision :)

Genero moderates the submissions as they come in (which is a type of judging), and we sometimes work with the band to select a wider finalist group. Also, Genero alone selects Genero Awards nominees.

Hiya - the Top 6 (just updated) is a selection by Barenaked Ladies of their favourites. Number of views never plays a role in deciding finalists or winners; all videos are viewed and judged entirely on their merits. The BNL videos tabs still loads all the videos randomly. Hope that helps. :)

Hi pcortacans -- you only need a performer release form if you have any recognisable person who appears in your video. No brands, no artwork - no forms required :)

I don't think film makers are as naive to not think of basic finances before undergoing a production. A lot of teams will be knowingly making a loss even with the possibility of the win. Genero is providing a source for anyone to work on open briefs from real high profile clients, giving opportunities to teams from an array of circumstances.

Given that, it's true that like in the real world, money buys things and in film, money certainly buys production value. It may be interesting in future to see some briefs which put some rules in place, like all in one take or entirely shot with to level the playing field but also force entrants to be more creative with their ideas.

Any update on the other Guetta songs? I'd started pre-production on a video for Lunar when it was originally advertised for Feb, and have been holding out for months, but think I'm gonna' finally give up on it... Love the site - just looking for some guidance.

Hi Cecilia, unless you win, you always retain full ownership of your footage and edit (not including any assest supplied to you by us). You can re-use the footage in any of your own projects, or any future Genero project. pcortacans - it may vary from project to project, so check the terms carefully. Generally most projects will follow these terms: http://genero.tv/terms/. Check section 9 (specifically 9.5) for details :)

Thank you for your feedback. On my iPad 2, now it works again perfectly in Safari. but still not in RingO Lite, another browser (the vid doesn't appear). I guess Safari is more important than the other browsers.

Hi wotiluv - you may submit more than one video for a project, but we do ask that they're different works. We won't accept two similar versions of the same work, for example.

Hi ddnt32 - generally only the winner is required to send a broadcast quality file. We'll work with you on the specific file requirements as these will differ from client to client. :)

Hi, I don't remember where I've read it... but I think you can send as many videos as you want. However I would prefer focusing in only one video and try to make it as good as it can get. If you have a good remaining time after that, then you do another one. :)

"If you want to upload an entirely separate and different entry [...] you should upload a new entry from the competition page." I think it means "as many as you want" (more or less). :)
