The finalists for the Band of Skulls comp to make the official video for Fires have now been chosen. Again it was really hard to narrow down all of the entries to just 4 finalists (to go with the 2 finalists that got the most votes). We'd like to give some honorable mentions to a few film makers who were really close to being selected. Sorry you weren't selected but we could only choose 4: Winther12, isabelewen, stupid banana, FRABfilms and gcmp.
A message to all of the other entrants from Band of Skulls:
"Thanks very much to everyone who entered and spent so much time and energy putting their videos together. It was a very interesting experience to see how others interpreted our music and there were some fantastic entries. Thanks again."

OK we've finished the very hard task of choosing the finalists for the Teenage Spaceman video competition. There was such variety in the entries so it was really tough to narrow it down. There were plenty that would have sat very comfortably as finalists and the official video for the song.
The 4 finalists chosen by Booka Shade and Genero.tv are:
Video 10066 - protonsanon (NZ)
Video 10242 - Rivetting (USA)
Video 10754 - DOLCEROCCA (Denmark)
Video 10594 - Matthew Harris (NZ)
The 2 finalists based on votes are:
Video 10130 - jeremyjaoui (France)
Video 10514 - Alex et Ol (Belgium)

Arno Kammermeier and Walter Merziger have been making music together for almost 25 years culminating in their fourth Booka Shade album More!. Thanks to massive underground hits like 'Mandarine Girl', Booka Shade already have a serious cult following in clubland, but in the last two years their live show has seen them infiltrate festivals, like Coachella and Glastonbury, where most dance acts would fear to tread.
Now you could make the official music video for their next single off More!, Teenage Spaceman. The winner will receive €3,000 and have their video serviced to media globally as the official music video in support of it's single release. Entries close on July 14. See all the details here: Genero.tv/booka-shade

Moby has personally chosen the winning video to be used for his new single 'Wait For Me'. The winning video is by Nimrod Shapira from Israel and you can watch it here: http://genero.tv/watch-video/4562. Congratulations to Nimrod for a fantastic entry and he will now receive US$5,000 cash and have his video serviced to media worldwide in support of Wait For Me's single release.
Some feedback from Moby on why he chose this as the winning video: "It was incredibly hard picking a winner in this competition, as there were dozens and dozens of great videos to choose from. I chose this winning video based on it's creativity, production value, concept, and humor. Thanks to everyone who entered, and i'm truly sorry that there couldn't be more than one winner, as they were all really good".

Wow...firstly we were absolutely blown away by the quality and number of entries received for the Moby 'Wait for Me' competition. There are so many amazingly talented people out there and we sincerely thank you all for your efforts and for being part of the Genero.tv community. Hopefully you've enjoyed being part of it and there will be plenty more Genero.tv comps you can get involved in.
For people who had entries that weren't chosen we hope you understand how hard it was to choose 4 videos out of over 400.
The 4 finalists chosen by Moby and Genero.tv are:
Video 1794 - Martin Winther (Denmark)
Video 3874 - Anthony H (United States)
Video 4370 - Petr Tomaides (Czech Rebublic)
Video 8258 - Maik Hempel (Australia)
The 2 finalists based on votes are:
Video 4786 - Sergey and Alexandr (Belarus)
Video 4562 - Nimrod Shapira (Israel)
Unfortunately we had to remove votes from some other videos because of a significant amount of voting activity that couldn't be satisfactorily explained.
Congratulations to all of the finalists! Moby will now choose the winner and the two runners up, which will be announced on Monday April 19th. Good luck!

Before you get started, make sure your video content is suitable. Here are the main reasons for videos not getting approved;
- creatively or conceptually, there is not much of an idea (eg. family/travel/stock footage set to music)
- the overall production or editing quality level is too low
- your video has racist, violent or defamatory content
Creativity is very subjective, for that reason we often can't give specific reasons why your video has been rejected. Remember we're looking for videos that could potentially be used as the official music video for the artists and songs we feature.
Read more FAQ's in our help section.

Please note 3 important requirements when creating a music video for any Genero.tv comp.
Our recommended aspect ratio is 16:9, however you can also use 1.85:1 or 2.39:1. Other aspect ratios like 4:3 are no longer useable in today's media platforms.
Please ensure there are no black bars surrounding your video, our transcoding process will automatically add the appropriate padding at the top and bottom of the video if it is wider than 16:9.
Credits or titles are not permitted on the video you upload. If you have already done so, please upload an updated version without credits or titles. You can use the Description and Other Credits fields to provide any additional info on your video and recognise any additional contributors.
